All Good Things to Those Who Wait…

We've been watching Tangled, the Disney movie about Rapunzel that came out on DVD last week. I think I've seen it at least 15 times, but who's counting? (If you have small children, you can relate.) The bad person in the movie, Mother Gothel, tells two other bad guys, "All good things to those who wait." I guess I should've been paying attention.

Remember last post when I was resigned to replant everything? Remember when I thought that the seeds must've rotted in the ground? Well, I was wrong (again). Check it out. Radishes! Sugar Snap Peas! And even Chinese Cabbage!

In the interest of full disclosure, you should know that I was impatient and bought some gorgeous chinese cabbage seedlings at the Dutch Plant Farm. (the best nursery in Frederick, MD in my humble opinion.) I stopped by to get some organic fertilizer, and there they were, saying, "We need a good home. Look how beautiful and healthy we are." Hey, I'm not made of stone! I bought them.

Anybody know any good chinese cabbage recipes? I think I'll have a bumper crop.

  1. Too funny! I’m putting in Chinese cabbage today myself. Impatient? I don’t know, but I don’t plant anything from seed that I can buy the seedlings for! You send me your recipes and I’ll send you mine. I’m also putting in spinach, brussel sprouts, and onions today.
